TAPPING PROCESS

Specific tapping machines and clay guns are designed by TMT*, a joint company of Dango & Dienenthal and Paul Wurth, for manual, semi- and fully automated drilling and plugging of non-ferrous furnaces. Paul Wurth / TMT* tapping & plugging equipment have already been supplied for: copper matte, blister and slag; lead-zinc bullion and slag; nickel matte and slag; ilmenite iron and slag; platinum copper/nickel matte and slag. Paul Wurth tapping equipment already service a wide range of furnace types, even Flash type furnaces either impossible with conventional machines.
