Based on its practical experience, Paul Wurth has developed innovative and efficient solutions at the three key steps of the solidification process: granulation, emission control and dewatering.
Thanks to a proprietary design of the blowing box, Paul Wurth makes it possible to fine-tune the granulation parameters, mainly to interfere on the granulate size and to limit steam emission.
In the dewatering area, Paul Wurth offers INBA®, a rotative drum, as well as static bins, depending on the plant constraints.
Taking in consideration the material and site constraints as well as the client requirements, Paul Wurth can design…
| - |
either continuous or batch granulation systems;
|
| - |
either dynamic (INBA®) or static (bins) dewatering systems;
|
| - |
or granulated material storage on open-pit land fields or in silos. |
Paul Wurth specific granulation systems have been applied for many different products, such as lead-zinc bullion from Kivcet furnaces, nickel, lead and zinc slag from fuming furnaces, blister copper from ISA-smelt type furnaces, platinum slag from smelters, nickel slag from Peirce-Smith converters, etc.
