To get a maximum benefit out of the permanent cathodes process, Paul Wurth has developed a new concept based on integrated automation implemented in an automation platform.
In this concept, all the operations of the electro-refinery are controlled by a ‘brain’, i.e. a computer whose function is to plan, coordinate and organize the tasks and interactions of all the machines and handling equipment.
