PAUL WURTH: a team-working Group

Luxembourg, 8 April 2008. 1,300 people split in 23 entities throughout the world have to work closely together for coordinating day-to-day actions, preparing and executing projects as well as defining objectives and strategies regarding technical and business development. Such short, medium and long-term challenges require quick and efficient communication.

Even if the most modern communication (and engineering) tools are intensively used within the Paul Wurth Group, these tools cannot fully replace live meetings for a good and deep mutual understanding and for fruitful exchanges of ideas.

To enhance the Group’s cohesion, once a year, a two-day meeting is organized at Luxembourg with more than 250 representatives of all Paul Wurth entities. Such Intercompany Meetings give good opportunity for top-down as well as bottom-up exchanges. To better understand what happens on local markets. To be informed about last technical developments. To analyse the impact of business changes. To elaborate possible improvements of our services and equipment. These are the main benefits of meeting and working together.

After “Changing Minds for Changing Environments” which was the overall theme last year, the next Intercompany Meeting, which will take place on 14 and 15th April 2008, will focus on “Expansion through Innovative Technologies, a Challenge to Everyone’s Competence”.
