Paul Wurth will also deliver key components to a large extent, particularly for the 2 injection plants with static distribution of the pulverized coal over the tuyeres of the furnaces, as well as the complete software of the automation system of the PCI plant.
Blast furnaces No. 2 and 4 are jointly producing 7300 metric tons of hot metal per day.
The pulverized coal will replace the use of heavy oil as additional reducing agent.
Commissioning of the plant is scheduled for the 1st quarter of 2009.
