Luxembourg, 21 December 2004. Paul Wurth S.A., Luxembourg, has purchased on 20.12.2004 the engineering company Didier - M&P Energietechnik GmbH ("DME"), Wiesbaden. The company was acquired from Hochtemperatur Engineering GmbH, Wiesbaden, a holding company owned in majority by Deutsche Beteiligungs AG, Frankfurt-Main. Part of the Arcelor group, Paul Wurth is one of the global leaders in the supply of specialized equipment and installations for the hot metal production, in particular for the blast furnace route. DME will bring Paul Wurth additional expertise in hot metal production, as DME is specialized in hot blast stove technologies and refractory and lining concepts for blast furnaces. DME will perfectly complement the existing product portfolio of Paul Wurth. The strong international presence of Paul Wurth will open up new market potential to DME.
DME employs 70 people, its turnover reaches this year more than 40 million euros and its order book stands at a record high, corresponding to more than one year's sales.
