Blow-in of new TATA Steel ‘H’ blast furnace
Genova / Luxembourg, 2 June 2008. On 31st May 2008, TATA Steel successfully commissioned its new blast furnace ‘H’ at its Jamshedpur works in Jharkhand. With an inner volume of 3800 cubic meters and a daily production of 7200 tonnes of hot metal, this new blast furnace is the biggest one ever built in India. <more>

Entry of Mini-BLT® Technology in Russia
Luxembourg, 21 May 2008. The Paul Wurth Group has developed since the mid 90’s a specific charging Bell Less Top® device perfectly fitting the constraints of small size blast furnaces: the Mini-BLT®. This charging system is directly derived from the well known BLT® technology and is specially designed for charging less than 2000 tonnes of burden material per day.
